Griffith University is a mere 13 minute bus ride away. Tafe, English schools and a variety of other educational facilities are also within close proximity. Several shopping centres are nearby, as well as ten pin bowling and many parks, including the botanical gardens.
Four different bus services operate here, making public transport very easy. I provide comprehensive printouts of all relevant transport servicing the area. The train and tram stations are nearby and I am also available to provide transport at an additional cost should you want or need it.
I can cater to any and all dietary needs or preferences, have a nurturing nature and have previously worked as a nanny. I also have four nephews and was a parental figure to two young children for eight and a half years. |

Homestay bedrooms are good size and carpeted. These rooms have access to a separate bathroom, loungeroom and separate toilet not shared with the family. This downstairs areas has separate lounge area with large TV and an outside enclosed lock up area if you have a bicycle.
You will be within 5 minutes walk to two Railway Stations (Chelmer and Indooroopilly). Walk to bus stop for UQ, by rail to QUT., James Cook and Griffith University.
The location is great for leisurely cycling and hanging at the village cafes. You can walk to Indooroopilly Shopping Centre with all the specialty shops, supermarkets, cinemas. Two blocks from river and parks, walk to two independent cinemas.
You will live with Australian family (mum and two teens) who have their bedrooms on upper level separate from living areas.
Happy to help with your English and share about Australian culture.
We will supply basic laundry liquid and fabric softener for laundry – washing machine only and staples such as bread, milk and butter.
Homestay guests cannot cook as it invalidates my house insurance policy.
All bills included, ADSL+2, water, gas and electricity.
Breakfast daily – costs $230 per week and is self serve.
Or, with dinner provided five nights $260.
Homestay fee payable 4 weeks in advance (upon arrival) and I hold two weeks, in lieu of two weeks notice.
